I have been reading http://www.joannejacobs.com/ for several years now. I find her to be interesting and informative. She wrote a book about start-up charter schools in California that had a very high percentage of Latino/Latina students who had many problems (economic, family etc.) outside of the school environment.
I also like the following blogs education blogs-
kitchentablemath.blogspot.com
blogs.eduweek.org/edweek/cirricullum
http://eduwonk.com/
My experience is that there are many great teacher blogs, from which you can pick and choose what works best for you in the classroom. Having experience in higher level state politics (where classrooms are discussed, but rarely visited), it is nice to read and learn from others in the profession.
